He was responsible for the pathology and pesticide portion of the plant protection program at California State University from 1970-92, where he trained pest control advisors and agricultural inspectors.

Career Accomplishments:

Expert is a member of the American Phytopathological Society. He has served on numerous committees of this society since 1960. He also served on the California Pest Control Advisory Committee as a representative of California State University. He served as a member of the board of directors of the Council for Agricultural Science and Technology (CAST) from 1980-83, and on the education and nominating committees.


He is a certified arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.

Attended most annual and some international meetings since 1960. Member of Pacific Division of American Phytopathological Society. This committee developed tests and training for Pest Control Advisors.
