A significant portion of Expert's career in educational assessment has involved the research and development of assessment tools and procedures for young children and adolescents. She considers herself a problem solver who solves learning problems. She developed a screening test, DIAL-R, published by American Guidance Service, which is used internationally in identifying children with potential learning difficulties and developmental delays. She is currently working on a revision of the DIAL-R, with co-author Dr. Carol Mardell-Czudnowski, to be completed sometime in 1997. Currently, Expert has helped to develop an adolescent suicide prevention curriculum to train and consult with high school crisis team members.

Expert is presently completing the third year of a grant funded by Ronald McDonald Children's Charities (RMHC) to train high school crisis team members in strategies for the prevention of adolescent suicide. As presenter, Expert organi

Currently, Expert has done consultation in actual product design and development. She has written proposals and structures for product development, as well as actual copy for publication. Her knowledge base in preschool materials is quite extensive. She enjoys the challenge of production design. Expert has been working with psychiatrists to develop an adolescent suicide prevention program, (Community Action for Youth Survival) (CAYS).
