Expert is and expert in the use of urethane elastomer for medical application. He began his study of urethanes in 1966 while working for Goodyear Research. He developed urethanes for vascular replacement and artifical hearts. He developed the urethane potting compound used by Baxter for 25 years to make their hollow fiber dialyzer. Currently, he provides consulting to medical device manufacturers in the area of polyurethane materials and manufacturing processes using urethanes.
