Expert developed and patented an entire line of surge suppressor devices for EFI Corp. As a result, EFI is the most widely private labeled line of surge suppressors on the market. He consults with most members of the ULPA (United Lightning Protection Association) guiding their proper application of surge suppression and electronic systems grounding to eliminate future lightning storm related malfunctions and failures.

Expert was directly involved in both the 1989 and the 1978 high sun spot storm years and was in charge of protecting and avoiding downtime for Fortune 500 company operations. Every 11 years a high sunspot activity occurs, causing increased electrical surges on power lines, internal building wiring and data/control wiring. This results in increased equipment malfunctions and failures. His years of hands-on experience in this area, along with his related years of experience in maintenance engineering for complex control systems, grounding, and transient surge suppression design and application give him unique ability to design and implement effective protection against sunspot storm interference and electromagnetic bursts.

With 25 years of experience with industrial controls maintenance, he understands and utilizes traditional and unique grounding techniques to reduce noise, provide common reference for power surges, and provide reliable operation of computer and electronic control systems.

Expert has found that vastly different grounding techniques are required within an electronic cabinet than are traditionally used for grounding the electrical system of a building. It is almost a reverse strategy. He has perfected a variety of techniques to bond computer and data systems that communicate over wide areas. As a consultant in electronic systems reliability, power quality, and surge protection since 1983, Expert has extensive experience in lightning protection. He is a member of the ULPA, United Lightning Protection Association, and advises many of their members on power surge protection and electronic equipment grounding. He is familiar with the codes and techniques used for effective lightning rod installation and lightning protection of structures. His working expertise is in lightning protection of computers, telecommunications, and industrial electronic controls.

Expert's experience in electronics systems reliability and maintenance has made him a specialist in the proper mitigation and elimination of electrical transients. He explains and can advise on how to properly apply active transient suppressors, sinewave tracking suppressors, and series suppressors for power, signal, telephone, data, and antenna lines. He has 25 years of practical experience helping companies do surge stress testing of equipment with electrical transient generators and to design suppressors to eliminate transients. He designs both facility and system protection installation plans to solve transient problems. He holds patent on the most currently used private labeled line of active, parallel, and series suppressors. Companies where he has helped apply these suppressors are now claiming 88% to 97% reduction to electronic failures, malfunctions, and equipment downtime.

A major portion of expert's career has involved helping industrial companies determine and eliminate the source of or the effects of discharge voltage. Discharge voltage is frequently a necessary part of a manufacturing process but the disruptive effects can be eliminated.

He teaches hydraulic troubleshooting and maintenance techniques for numerical control and automated machine tools. By adding hydraulic purification to his consulting practice, he now shows companies how they can eliminate 92% of their hydraulic systems maintenance by keeping oil clean while reducing oil changes 10 to 1.

Expert helped one of the companies he consults with develop a continuous oil purifier system for NC, CNC, robotics, plastic injection molding machines and other sensitive hydraulic systems. The purifier not only removes dirt but also removes acids, varnish, and water while reclaiming the oil for continuously clean, high grade oil. This hydraulic purification system is now available for retrofit application on other robotics, injection molding machines, and industrial equipment.

During his 20 years' experience as an electronic maintenance engineer and consultant, he has selected test equipment for, set-up equipment in, and trained technicians for three different electronic repair labs. These facilities are able to repair 98% of the electronic equipment sent to them.
