PRODUCT AND DOCUMENT RELEASE. A significant portion of Expert's work and consultation experience has involved streamlining the new product design and release process. As a Pilot Production Manager, he participated in the release of eight new computer products in a two-year period. He has helped many clients achieve fast, accurate release of parts, assemblies, products, and systems.

ENGINEERING SERVICES. As a former Director of Engineering Services, Expert managed the documentation control, change control, BOM data entry, part/assembly/product release, publications, engineering library, microfilm, and classification coding functions.

CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT (CM); ENGINEERING DOCUMENTATION CONTROL (EDC). The author of a best selling book in this area, Expert gives seminars on generic configuration management (engineering documentation control). He is an ADPA Certified (now NDIA)Configuration Manager and consults on all facets of configuration management. He has in-depth knowledge of the ISO 9000 engineering documentation control and configuration management requirements.

MANUFACTURING RESOURCE PLANNING (MRP). Expert was the principal developer of the bill of materials (BOM) specifications for the BOM module of a major MRP II system. He has experience installing new and modifying existing MRP systems. His special expertise involves the integration of MRP with engineering documentation processes.

WORK FLOW. Expert has done system analysis work using flow charting to help reinvent manufacturing processes such as engineering changes, release of new products and related documentation, bill of materials processes, order entry processes, manufacturing flow, material handling, shipping, billing, and accounts receivable.

Expert's efforts have helped several clients with fast, accurate, single database bill of materials (BOM) development. He has installed modular BOM concepts that have dramatically reduced customer order to delivery time. He also developed and enhanced product costing systems. Expert is knowledgeable in BOM structuring, content, and practical ways to achieve a single BOM database. He can advise on step function improvements in the "promise to deliver" time by use of modular BOMs.
