METEOROLOGY; AIR QUALITY MONITORING. Expert has been a professional meteorologist for 50 years and an air quality scientist for 28. His specialties include forensics, air quality equipment, modeling, monitoring, auditing, dust problems, noise measurements, storm damages, and weather impacts. Over the past five years more than half his time has been spent assessing the impact of weather on air quality, weather on accidents, or both weather and air quality on accidents. He has served as an expert witness on several major cases and can provide a client list upon request.

AMBIENT AIR QUALITY ASSESSMENT. Much of Expert's time involves reconstructing scenarios for indoor air exposure and then planning to determine the cause and then the restoration of the area for the client. He is familiar with OSHA regulations in this area.

INDUSTRIAL NOISE CONTROL; HUMAN NOISE SAFETY LEVEL. Expert has completed a number of noise surveys of airports. He also has studied communities planning to build airports to assess the potential for noise in the area before the airport is constructed.

AIR QUALITY MODELING; CLEAN AIR ACT. For over 25 years, Expert has maintained expertise in air quality modeling. He employs this knowledge for clients who apply for air quality permits for new and modified industrial plants. His specialty is in offering remediation suggestions that balance compliance with air quality regulations with a client's specific costs and needs. He can help clients understand EPA regulations in this area.

ATMOSPHERIC STORM; WIND ENERGY. During his employment with the government, Expert taught Surf & Swell along with Oceanography for the US Navy. When major storms are about to strike coastal areas, he has often been asked to assess the potential for damage from such storms. He is also asked to determine why wind effects have produced certain damage in thunderstorm and tornado conditions.

He is a Certified Consulting Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society. He is a Certified Noise Technician (B.E. & K. Co.), a Certified Environmental Inspector (Environmental Assessment Association), and a Certified Asbestos Inspector (Georgia Institute of Technology, US-EPA approved).

Professional Appointments

Expert has been named Chairman of Air Quality Committee of the Environmental Division of TAPPI, the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry. TAPPI is the world's largest professional association of engineers, scientists, and managers serving the pulp, paper, converting, and allied industries. TAPPI's Air Quality Committee compiles and disseminates information on source emission measurement and control, and ambient air quality. He has also been National Environmental Committee Chairman of the National Weather Association.
