As a qualified Chef, who has completed a full apprenticeship as well as extensive experience in the hospitality industry, Expert has well-honed cooking skills in many styles of cooking. He has experience in pastry and yeast making from small to industrial bakery manufacturing.

As a Product Development Food Scientist with Simplot Australia Pty Ltd, much of the work that Expert was involved in related to thermally processed foods in cans (glass and pouches as well). The development work included selecting appropriate stabilizing systems, flavoring and coloring systems that would survive the rigorous and high temperature processing of canned low acid foods. He was also involved in developing the thermal process and overpressure program for flexible and semi-rigid retort packaging

Expert provides Product, Process and Packaging Design for the food-manufacturing sector. He is fully qualified in food science and/or engineering with extensive innovation experience in product and process development. He is also an experienced project manager with Kepner Tregoe accreditation in Project Management. Expert manages all packaging development and innovation through an extensive network of support organizations and industry contacts.

  • Client had five weeks to find new manufacturer, design and set up new process and packaging line and begin commercial manufacture of product previously manufactured by another contract manufacturer. No details where available from current manufacturer, we were able to design the process, help select and procure the equipment, assist in installation and commisioning and have the first commercial run completed within the required timeline.
  • Client had range of new products to be manufactured, current plant set up was innefficient and did not produce the correct product texture. He was able to re-engineer the current line with the current equipment and very little capital to produce the product and improve overall plant efficiency.
  • Client had range of new products promised to retailer with out any development work completed. Product development, packaging and process development all completed within twelve weeks with succesful products launched into two major retailers within review period.
