Expert obtained his B.E. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering (1994) from University of Belgrade and his Ph.D. in Science and Engineering of Materials (1999) from Arizona State University. Before joining the ECE department at Expert's University (September 2005), Expert has spent two years at Brookhaven National Laboratory as postdoctoral research associate (1999-2001) and four years at Seagate Research Center in Pittsburgh as a research staff member (2001-2005).

Expert's research is diverse, encompassing several fields such as; electrochemical nanofabrication and nanomaterials synthesis, electrodeposition of thin films and magnetic alloys, sensors, alloy corrosion, and electro-catalysis. His academic record includes 30 peer reviewed papers with 400+ citation, 3 book chapters, 4 editorials on conference proceedings, 3 US patents and more than 15 invited talks on international conferences.

Expert has taught several graduate and undergraduate courses including Mechanical Metallurgy, Electrical Circuits, Computer Problem Solving, Electrochemical Nanofabrication Technology and he is currently serving as an instructor for Electrochemical Society Short Course Series on Electrodeposition of Magnetic Materials.

Expert is active member of several professional societies including Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Material Research Society, Electrochemical Society, International Society of Electrochemistry and Serbian Chemical Society. Expert has had the privilege to be the organizer and co-chair of more than 10 symposia at international conferences and meetings (ISE and ECS) and he is currently serving as the member of the Executive Committee of the Electrodeposition Division of the Electrochemical Society, and also as the member of the Editorial Board of the “Nanotechnology, Science and Applications'' Journal.
