Having worked in the sealing industry for 15 years, Expert has extensive knowledge in developing and testing rubber compounds for the compression, injection and transfer molding process. His expertise in compound development include faster cycle times, lower scrap rates and OSHA compliant processes. Mold design, press capability and compound rheology all play an intergal part of the compression molding process.

Expert worked in the sealing industry for 15 years. Meeting the customer's sealing requirements is one of Expert's primary expertise. Expert has participated in ASTM and SAE committees and assisted in updating sealing technology test procedures.

Expert has developed several compounds which meet transfer, drive and imaging roller requirements. Expert has also developed funcitonal and static test procedures necessary to prove out roller performance.

Expert has investgated the possible effect of solvent extraction in relationship to conductive rubber performance. Expert has designed compounds that will function over a wide range of harsh environments. Solvents include MEK, Toluene and Chlorinated solutions.

Expert has developed a wide range of electrically conductive rubber compounds. His development includes both solid rubber and sponge. Several bais transfer rollers and imaging rollers have been developed based upon Expert technical expertise.

Expert has worked with most polymer compounding companies. This includes international companies. Expert expertise in this area includes but not limited to: FKM's, PU's, NBR's and EPDM's.

Expert has assisted application engineers in selecting the correct polymer in regards to the customer's application. Expert was instrumental in providing a major automotive customer with the correct polymer when converting from R22/R12 to R134 freon in their air conditioning systems.

Expert's main expertise is in rubber compounding for elastomeric sealing applications. This includes compound development, implementation and process improvements. Expert has developed over 200 compounds. Customers include automovtive, aerospace and industrial.

Expert participated in ASTM committees and contributed in updating procedures and obtaining committee approval to implement revised ASTM standards.
