• Responsible for managing the delivery of CAST training for HQ staff at all levels up to Corps within the Combat Manoeuvre Simulation Centre (CMSC) in Germany • Responsible for debriefing and assessing Brigade and Battle Group HQs Staff on procedures and performance through the CAST process at CMSC and on major exercises in Canada • Staff Officer 2 for Offensive Support that included providing expert advice to the Commander CMSC and Formation Commanders up to Div level, on Artillery, Air, NBC, EW, Aviation, Air Defence (including battlespace management) and Mortars • Liaison officer and advisor on OSG exercises that were conducted at CMSC and written by my self • Within all exercises I acted as senior controller for the High and Lower controllers and was responsible for writing and developing the scripts and exercises for their use • Acting, on all exercises, as the Artillery Commander - CO for BG exercises to CRA for Div exercises; this also included targeting processes and battlespace management and the implementation of the latest doctrinal thinking for deep battle and manoeuvrist doctrine • Participation in and providing expert knowledge for all After Action reviews including one to one debriefs to senior commanders • Appointed to co-ordinate and manage all simulation training for British Army on the US SIMNET system prior to the introduction of CATT • Advisor to the CATT simulator project team prior to implementation • Delivered effective leadership, teamwork & soft skills training programmes • Established training policies & procedures to ensure optimum efficiency
