The equipment represented the most complete collection of vintage rolling stock in the United States to be used in a visitor-oriented (Napa Valley Wine) train. Collateral responsibilities included the comprehensive design, engineering and restoration of all the equipment as well as associated budget administration. Other responsibilities included the hiring, training and supervision of approximately 40 employees.

Expert's firm was retained for the purpose of utilizing our rail expertise in rail operations and appraisals to provide expert witness services as needed and requested on this case. Expert provided expert opinion and background for the case through detailed analysis of the documents provided and discussions with attorneys.
  • Expert's firm was hired to determine the true market value for locomotives and sell the locomotives through a competitive bid process. Expert inspected all locomotives for condition and determined the Market Value for each of the locomotives based on the physical condition and comparative current market value conditions.
  • Expert's firm was contracted to provide an equipment analysis of passenger cars. Expert inspected and completed a comparative appraisal of passenger cars.   • Expert's firm was contacted to conduct a feasibility analysis and valuation of rail operations for a shipper to perform their own switching and become FRA certified.
