Summary of Expertise:

Listed with other top experts in:

Expert has conducted the evaluation, physical, and laboratory diagnosis of how aging effects the role of T lymphocytes, specifically CD8 T cells. In those studies, he has examined young versus older individual as well as the reasoning behind a decreased immune function within cytotoxic T lymphocytes in HIV patients. In addition, he has found that adenosine deaminase plays a vital role in proper immune function, ultimately giving rise to potential drug targets to combat age associated clinical pathologies.

While investigating these questions, Expert has employed a wide variety of immunological methods that include, but are not limited to, flow cytometry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and real-time PCR. Knowledge of these methods and in immunology have allowed Expert to be an expert in the field.
