    Definition:  Faraday's Law of Electrolysis - A physical law involving electrolysis which is two-fold: first, it states that the amount of any substance that is deposited or dissolved in electrolysis is directly proportional to the total passed electric charge; second, it states that the amounts of different substances deposited or dissolved when an identical electric charge is passed are directly proportional to their respective equivalent weights.
