Atomic Force Microscope Experts

The following experts are available as atomic force microscope consultants and atomic force microscope expert witnesses.  ORC experts are peer-recommended authorities who have been carefully selected and rigorously screened.
Definition:  Atomic Force Microscope - A microscope in which a probe, consisting of a diamond chip on a spring-loaded cantilever, tracks across a surface at a distance which ensures a constant force on the probe. These distances are compiled by a computer to produce a contour map of the surface. Similar to the scanning tunnelling microscope, but the atomic-force microscope uses mechanical force measurements instead of electrical signals.

Synonyms:  AFM
