Eutrophication Experts

The following experts are available as eutrophication consultants and eutrophication expert witnesses.  ORC experts are peer-recommended authorities who have been carefully selected and rigorously screened.
Definition:  Eutrophication - The physical process whereby plant nutrients, like organic material or nitrates and phosphates from surface run-off, are added to a water body, usually of still or slow-moving fresh water. Eutrophication can happen naturally, but it is often a form of pollution. It can lead to overgrowth of aquatic plants and algal blooms, which can cause the death of many aquatic animals and higher plants. Eventually, eutrophication may raise the bed of the lake until it becomes a bog, or marsh, then dry land.
