    Definition:  Thiourea - A sulfur compound that usually exists as lustrous white crystals that are bitter-tasting, soluble in cold water and alcohol, melt at 180-182 degrees Celsius, and sublime at boiling point. It is used as a rubber accelerator, as an antithyroid drug in treating hyperthyroidism, and in the manufacture of photographic and photocopying chemicals.
