Definition:  Visual Psychophysics - The science that studies color, and all visual phenomena, by examining the relationship between color stimuli and the visual response that it evokes from a human observer. This includes color comparison judgments, color discrimination, various types of color scaling, and the development of procedures designed to elicit such response from observers. Often, such results are subjected to mathematical modeling of some type to observe trends and derive conclusions.
